Office Policies

Appointments

Alamo Neurosurgical Institute operates Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Appointments may be scheduled by calling our appointment desk at 210-564-8300, directly visiting our office or by making an appointment online. If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. This courtesy on your part will make it possible to give your appointment to another patient who needs to see the doctor.

Insurance/Payments

We accept some insurance plans, all PPO’s, Medicare, and Tricare. We understand the increasingly complex array of insurance requirements and claims procedures and will assist you by processing your claims. Co-pays, as mandated by your insurance, are expected at time of service. All payments, whether co-pay or self-pay, are due at the time of service. If your insurance plan requires that you have a referral from your primary care physician, please have your primary care physician fax it to our office at 210-564-8399.

Medical Records

Our office requires 24 hours notice for release of your records, X-rays, MRI, etc. Records and X-rays will not be released without proper written authorization. New patients prior to their initial visit must arrange to have their current films sent to our office or hand carry them. These films (MRI, CT scans, X-rays) should be taken within the last 6 months.
