Mental Health Clinician / Psychologist

Carla Zenteno-Montez is currently the Mental Health Clinician at Alamo Neurosurgical Institute (ANI). Her primary focus in this practice is to provide psychological assessment and treatment for cognitive effects of TBI, learning disabilities, memory deficits, anxiety, depression, personality, and other concerns that may be impacting or complicating daily functioning and quality of life.


She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas State University where she graduated Cum Laude and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University. She completed her Internship at Schertz-Cibolo ISD where she worked with a diverse student population. In addition, she obtained certifications in play therapy and in the administration and scoring of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Furthermore, she gained experience providing assessment and counseling services in private practice, community mental health, home-based integrated health care, and state hospital settings for a variety of concerns. She is currently in the process of completing her Doctor of Psychology from Adler School of Professional Psychology. Her goal is to lead the individual in their exploration of finding how to not only live but to thrive.


Carla is originally from Geronimo, Tx and currently resides in San Antonio, Tx where she enjoys spending quality time with her 3 kids and husband, exploring the outdoors, and creating life-long memories.
